Founded in 1938, Elipson is the oldest brand specialising in the manufacture of high-end French speakers. More than 60 patents later, Elipson has forged a place for itself in the world of acoustics thanks to a number of now iconic speakers. From the fundamental research of the transducers, the modelling of the loads and vibratory behaviour of the cabinets, the technological monitoring in close collaboration with technical and research institutes, to the finalisation of the filters and electronic circuits following many hours of listening.
Each stage of the design of their products is carried out by their acousticians, electronics experts and designers, a combination of technical expertise and experience, but above all music lovers.
Their factory in Saint-Fargeau, Burgundy, France, manufactures the Chroma vinyl turntables, the Legacy range and their P1 and A2700 amplifiers. They have chosen to manufacture these high-end products in France in order to perpetuate the know-how and to ensure that they produce the best possible quality.

The history of Elipson is inextricably linked to its general manager, Joseph Léon. Formed at the Arts et Métiers, his ingenuity and the simplicity of the solutions he brings will make him one of the pioneers in the world of sound reproduction and audiophilia.
Joseph Léon joined the Multimoteur company in 1946, which was at that time a small company specializing in the production of electric motors for toys that had existed since 1938. The company also produced miniature electrical equipment used in the construction of transformers, generators and alternators.
